Abstract:

An analysis of the Burgers vectors of dislocations in sapphire, revealed by X-ray transmission topography, confirmed the existence of the Burgers vectors parallel to the 2-1-10 directions. Experimental evidence for the magnitude of the Burgers vectors is given. Numerous dislocation reactions of the type 2-1-10 -12-10 -1-120 0 are verified. Author
