The report covers the results and findings of an evaluation of three types of high production feeding system concepts which represent five major categories of high production feeding operations. Meal cost, system effectiveness and advantages and shortcomings of these systems are discussed. It is concluded that where there are a large number of dining facilities to be serviced, the use of central preparation appears to be the least costly system while also offering uniformly high quality and variety food products.
