The report discusses the orbital perturbation effects on the responses of the subtly arranged gyroscope system proposed to test general relativity in a polar-orbiting satellite. It is shown that secular orbital plane precession due to oblateness of the earth may impair the ability of the experiment to distinguish the Einstein and Brans-Dicke theories of relativity. Author
