Abstract:
Design of a controller for a given system usually requires consideration of more than satisfaction of dynamical and steady-state performance requirements. Factors such as cost, reliability, simplicity of design, and limitations on system outputs and control magnitudes must be considered. Often the controller must be designed in such a way as to meet certain constraints on system performance when noise is present. The goal of this research is to provide a controller which will yield satisfactory dynamical and steady-state performance, as measured by an integral index of performance, and will ensure non-violation of a set of output inequality constraints. These requirements must be met even if noise is present in the system. Author
