Abstract:
A substantially superior thixotropic chemical lighting system has been developed for marking porous, vertical or slippery surfaces. The system is formulated as three components which when mixed provide a self-luminescent, tacky grease. The system generates a specific brightness greater than 6.2 ft. lbts.cm up to 30 minutes and a specific brightness greater than 3.2 ft. lbts.cm up to one hour. For many applications the brightness remains adequate for more than three hours. The system adheres well to a wide range of substrates including wood, aluminum, asphalt, foliage, glass and Teflon TM.
