For a parallel flow along a flat plate having a thin fluid film the equations of the momentum concentration and energy of the boundary layer for laminar flow are given. The method of similar solutions is used. Following assumptions are made The plate is heat insulated, the gas temperature is so low that the thermodiffusion can be neglected, and the flow velocity is so low that the dissipation is unimportant. The investigations are restricted on the evaporization of substances for which the ratio of heat transfer coefficient to evaporization coefficient is constant.
