Abstract:
Inorganic ionic solutes are classified according to the type of interference they exert on electrochemical freezing potentials when associated with other ions. The partition of impurities at a dynamic icewater interface is, as a rule, strongly concentration dependent. Distribution coefficients may increase or decrease as the concentration on the liquid side of the phase boundary increases. A mathematical numerical model is proposed for the description of this process. Author
