Abstract:

It is shown that the method of making an oxide layer on the surface of objects which have been coated with aluminum in vacuum is characterized by the fact that a cleaned object which has been coated with aluminum in vacuum is subjected to the effects of steam, the pressure and temperature of which are selected in such a way that the dryness of the steam would be less than one that ammonia is added to steam in the amount of 0.1 to 50 grams per kilogram of steam that ozone is added to steam in the amount of 0.01 to 10 grams per kilogram of steam and that at least one organic amine is added to steam in the amount of 0.1 to 50 grams per kilogram of steam.
