Abstract:
During the consideration of the design parameters of an acoustooptic laser beam deflection system, it bacame apparent that scattered light from the deflection system, and other sources, could be a factor in limiting the size of the color center memory system. This would be particularly true if low-level scattered light is capable of rotating the MA color centers with the same efficiency as high intensity light. Work during this quarter has been directed toward obtaining this data for MA centers in potassium chloride. Author
