The report presents the results of a wind tunnel test on a powered dynamic model of the Boeing M-160 tilt rotor aircraft with 5.5 foot diameter rotors. The model was tested in the Boeing VSTOL 20 x 20 foot wind tunnel during January-February 1971 and was supported to simulate free flight conditions with mount frequencies much lower than the dynamic aircraft frequencies. Blade loads, wing loads, flying qualities and skittishness in ground effect data were obtained.
