Abstract:
The all-Polish-produced WR-0042 television transmission van manufactured and assembled at the Warsaw Television Plant is said to be on a par with the best Western models. Carrying a crew of from 10 to 15 operators, the remote-coverage TV vehicle, measuring 9825 mm L by 2450 mm W by 3350 mm H, carries 4 TV cameras with 4.5in. superorthicon scanning tubes, a motion-picture camera, a vidicon camera channel, plus a 13-channel audio system with 8 microphone inputs. Fully air-conditioned, the 5-compartment van has an aluminum-alloy sheet metal exterior and a paneled form-plastic interior with ceiling and spot illumination. Author
