Abstract:
The report addresses the cost, in terms of measurement tons of material, short tons, dollar value, and human resources identified as required to satisfy the combat construction needs of a Marine Amphibious Force MAF for the initial 6-month period of a long-duration low intensity campaign. It was determined, 1-NCF module 4-762 man NMCBs plus others could provide the combat construction need when assisted by the Marine Force Engineers and a Marine SELF Help Program. When a 60-day delay occurs in initiating the Seabee effort there is a high probability that the additional workload could not be absorbed by the Self Help Program thereby requiring 2-NCF modules to support one MAF.
