Abstract:

The vowel sounds are easier to identify than the buzz and musical sounds tested, both at their normal fundamental frequency of 110 Hz, and also at half this frequency. The buzz sounds, with their clearly audible harmonics, were the easiest to identify when the fundamental frequency was raised to 220 Hz. Author
