Abstract:

The report provides an overview of the general requirements for an airborne rescue system to fulfill a military SAR Search and Rescue mission. Projected mission and airframepropulsion system requirements are presented to provide a baseline for initial development analyses. A standard methodology for the conduct of detailed performance evaluation and overall mission analyses are proposed to define critical areas in SAR aircraft designs. An aircraftpropulsion system is designed to illustrate the applications. Author
