The report provides an overview of the general requirements for an airborne rescue system to fulfill a military SAR Search and Rescue mission. Projected mission and airframepropulsion system requirements are presented to provide a baseline for initial development analyses. A standard methodology for the conduct of detailed performance evaluation and overall mission analyses are proposed to define critical areas in SAR aircraft designs.
