Abstract:
The interim report concerns some concepts and preliminary results of research on sea-air interactions. The work is mission oriented--i.e. it is a search for realistic approaches to improved weather and ocean forecasting. In this report, a brief descriptive feedback model is presented which summarizes the feedback cycle and guides the research. Thereafter, some existing hypotheses and theories on the effects of feedback are summarized briefly re-examined. Some rather obvious evidence of the effects of energy feedback on the atmosphere are presented. Finally, some aspects of observed natural synoptic periods are described. Author
