New commercially available amine curatives for castable polyether urethane elastomers were evaluated to extend pot life andor develop a liquid curative. Efforts to develop a liquid amine curative were unsuccessful but Curalon I was effective as a pot-life extender. Adiprene L-315 and LD- 955 were chosen for prototype fabrication of M16 rifle butt pads and artillery handwheels. Wing Stay T, carbon black, iron oxide, and titanium dioxide were effective in providing protection against UV radiation in the Adiprene type polymers.
