Abstract:

Emission from O2singlet deltag and O2singlet sigmag is observed from photolysis of ozone-oxygen mixtures at 2537A. The O2singlet sigmag is formed by energy transfer from Osinglet D and the relative rates of removal of O1singlet D by O2, and the reaction of Otriplet P and Osinglet D with O3 are discussed as sources of both O2 singlet states.
