Abstract:
The quantum superconductivity of low inductance rings interrupted by superconducting weak links provides the basis for magnetic flux sensors that are useful for sensitive measurements of magnetic flux and fields and for extremely small voltages in low impedance circuits. The theoretical basis and mechanisms, and the current state of the art in design and capabilities of these devices is described. Author
