Abstract:

An experimental study was made of Raman scattering RS and infrared absorption IR of the compounds CH33SiOC4H9-n, CH32SiOC4H9-n2, CH3SiOC4H9-n3, SiOC4H9-n4, SiOC4H9-s4, and SiOC4H9-i4. The frequencies, integral intensities, degrees of depolarization, and half-widths of the spectral RS lines were determined corrected relative scattering coefficients were calculated, and finally, the values of the trace and the anisotropy of the tensor of the polarizability derivative were obtained. For three of the compounds the dispersion of the refraction index was investigated and the absolute cross sections of spontaneous Raman scattering were calculated for the Stokes waves vsSi-O and vsSi-C. The absorption bands and, for individual vibrations, absolute intensities and half-widths were calculated in the IR. Author
