The author considers problems associated with the theoretical and experimental study of the kinetics of motion of a pneumatic tire during its rolling along a solid support surface. Relationships are determined which characterize the tangential deformation of a tire, shifting of the tire protector racing track with respect to the rim, and its skidding with respect to the support surface.
