Abstract:
The conventional design of miltiloop control systems in a tedious, time consuming task. If a digital computer is used to assist in this design process, the engineers work is somewhat lessened. Therefore, the complete, automated design of such a multiloop system is very desirable. The report studies the problem of automating the design of a multiloop feedback control system. In particular, frequency domain specifications are first combined into a nonlinear cost functional. Then the functional is minimized using mathematical programming functional minimization techniques. This approach determines compensator parameters which force the system to satisfy the specifications. Author
