Abstract:
Two samples of radio-sources, statistically complete to 0.25 and 0.90 Flux Units at 408 MHz is restricted areas, have been selected from the B2 Survey to attempt their optical identification on the Palomar Sky Survey. More accurate declinations have been measured for all the 487 radio-sources, using the Interferometer of the Owens Valley Radio Observatory. The accuracy of the final radio-positions is of the order of 6 to 12 arc sec. in R.A., and 2.5 to 20 arc sec. in Dec. These positions have been located on the Palomar Sky Survey plates with an accuracy of 2 arc sec. Identification is suggested for the total of 104 radio-galaxies and 73 quasi-stellar objects. Finding charts and reference star positions are provided for all the fields investigated. Author
