Abstract:

The study aims to determine more precisely the nature of nucleation and stabilization in acoustic cavitation. Experiments involved treatment of fresh water so as to vary the size, number and other characteristics of motes. Filtration was the primary means of accomplishing this. A secondary purpose of the project was to design and construct a resonator and driving circuit which would be suitable for continued work in cavitation. The experiment data supports mote theory.
