The report emphasizes the development of a rational method to size waterbrakes. The report also discusses the state of the art of cavitation-induced erosion encountered in high speed waterbrakes and finally describes the design, fabrication, and testing two waterbrakes which were used to absorb power delivered by T64 turboshaft engine i.e., 13,600 revolutions per minute and greater than 3,000 horsepower.
