Abstract:
The purposes of this study were 1 to attempt to carry the development of practical serologic tests for amebiasis and filariasis to the point that they could be performed by competent serologic technologists without special training. 2 To evaluate these tests with regard to their diagnostic usefulness. 3 To determine whether there was close correlation between the virulence of amebic isolates often designated as strains when tested in rats, and the extent of disease, and antibody produced in man. 4 To study some of the characteristics of amebic and filarial antigens by fractionation experiments.
