Abstract:
One of the promising methods for hardening metals is high-temperature thermomechanical processing HTMP it involves a combination of hot plastic deformation and tempering. This paper gives some results of a study of the effects of various HTMP variants with the deformation of billets by drop-forging on the heat resistance of the alloy E1617 KHn70VMTYu with a nickel base. HTMP was performed using a crankshaft press with a maximum force of 2500 tons. Examination of many tests on variants reveals that the optimum HTMP variants for the alloy E1617 is forging at 1100-1050C with settling by 9-12 and cooling of pretempered billets in the air. The results indicate that it is desirable to use HTMP in forging turbine blades from the alloy E1617. Author
