Abstract:

The natural frequency of a spherical bubble in a liquid as it oscillates in the vicinity of a solid wall was theoretically studied, in terms of the effect of surface tension, and on the assumption that the gas in the bubble follows the law of adiabatic change. As a result, the solutions of Minneart and Richardson have been included in the present solution as particular cases. Further, the effects of a solid wall and the kind of liquid on the natural frequency of the bubble were numerically clarified. Author
