Pagination or Media Count:
A hydraulic model investigation of the harbor at Conneaut, Ohio, was conducted to determine the effects on waves and seiche currents at the entrance to and within the inner-harbor area of various proposed modifications to the east pier and extensions to the east breakwater. The study was performed on a 1125-scale, fixed-bed-type model constructed of concrete and equipped with a wave generator, electrical wave-height measuring and recording devices, and a water circulating system for simulating currents resulting from the action of longitudinal seiches characteristic of Lake Erie.
