The Data Generator Utility Routines DATGEN is a computerized program which produces real or integer data exhibiting any of six types of statistical distributions, determined by user-specified parameters. Data produced represents points cutting off equal areas under the frequency distribution curve, not a random sampling of the data produced. The types of distribution represented are Uniform, Gamma, Poisson, Beta, Normal. Each distribution type requires the specification of two or three parameters. User may request from 2 to 999 values representative of the desired distribution, and the values will be output in random order. The user may have the same set of data output several times, each time in a new random order. Program is coded in FORTRAN IV for an IBM 7090 computer system. Author
