Abstract:

Artificial earth satellites are opening the way to interplanetary travel and our contemporaries evidently will be witnesses of how the free and conscientious work of the people of the new, socialist society is turning the boldest dreams of mankind into a reality. So ended the TASS report on launching of the worlds first artificial earth satellite. Every new launching, each new step toward the stars, convinces us of the correctness of these lines. In our day ships and satellites are flying into space which are incomparably more complex and better equipped than their predecessors, the pioneers of the space era. This book discusses the use of satellites, the various tasks of the space workers, what they are today and what they will become in the future. The author discusses the applied use of space, a fascinating discussion probably because of the grandoise nature of the theme itself. Author
