The results of research on the following investigations are reported the study of the properties of type I and type II superconductors by using ultrasonic techniques the study of electron phonon interaction for transverse waves when the electromagnetic skin depth is comparable to the ultrasonic wavelength the study of the interaction of nuclear spin waves with transverse ultrasonic waves and the study of spin phonon interaction in the spin spiral phase of the rare earth metals in the presence of an external magnetic field.
