Abstract:

The lubricating oil quality of the complex esters of naphthenic acids were determined. The esters had, after oxidation, acid numbers 3-5 and 0.35-0.97 percent residue insoluble in isooctane. The best additive was ZzNII-10, 0.5 percent during the acidity after oxidation as well as the corrosiveness and residue, whereas the viscosity changed little. The esters have good susceptibility for additives. Author
