Abstract:

Filtration is the most widely used of all methods for collecting radioactive aerosols from the air. A KAVZ-651 bus was equipped with a mobile unit which enabled it to take samples of atmospheric radioactive aerosols. It has a four-cycle, six cylinder internal combustion engine with 70 kp rated at 2800 rpm. In one revolution there are three intake cycles which correspond to an air capacity of 290 cumhr. This capacity of the filtration unit makes it possible to measure two concentration of B-active aerosols in atmospheric air. Author
