Abstract:

In the process of development at the expense of components of paper and a book as a whole, fungi form numerous metabolic products, among which there are compounds belonging to different chemical groups. Pigments outwardly cause noticeable ruination of a book the removal of these pigments requires the use of highly active oxidizers or reducers. The situation is particularly unfavorable when the paper is simultaneously subjected to destruction and pigmentation. Experiments are described which were devoted to a study of some aspects of this problem. In these experiments, using the example of an experimental series of paper samples, the destructive and pigment-forming activity of four fungi were examined. Eidamella deflexa Berk. Benjamin, Aspergillus terreus Thom, Penicillium purpurogenum Stoll, Sporotrichum bombycinum Cda. Author
