Abstract:

The article is devoted to a combined theoretical and experimental treatment of the problem of complex-heat transfer between a high temperature gas flow and the cold surface of a channel. The theoretical analysis arrives at a method for determining the quantities which enter into the dimensionless relationship describing the process. For the experimental investigation, a special apparatus was built to study radiative-convective heat transfer during the movement of the products of the combustion of a gaseous fuel in cylindrical channels. The article gives a diagram of the experimental apparatus. Four series of experiments were carried out in channels of different diameters. The experimental results are exhibited in extended tables.
