Observations of dissociative attachment of electrons to methane CH4 and deuterated methane CD4 were previously reported. The cross section for the formation of H-, CH2-, and the corresponding deuterated species were reported. The present report points out that the so-called inverse isotope effect is simply the m to the 14th dependence.
