Abstract:
The objective of the research was the development, fabrication and use of an interferometer capable of making high spacial resolution measurements through the turbulent atmosphere. In particular, a prototype of the interferometer was designed and fabricated, and then tested, both in the laboratory and on a telescope. The knowledge gained from the prototype a coude model permitted the design of the final interferometer. This interferometer a Cassegrain model is now being fabricated. This paper is an enlargement and explanation of the results presented in the Woods Hole paper. Author
