PHOTOMETRIC OBSERVATIONS OF THE OCCULTATIONS OF STARS BY THE MOON.

179 TIMINGS OF OCCULTATIONS RANGING IN ACCURACY FROM 0.2 MSEC TO 20 MSEC HAVE BEEN MEASURED AND FORWARDED TO THE U.S. Naval Observatory, Nautical Almanac Office. Diffraction patterns which indicate the possibility of diameter measures have been observed for 8 stars. At least one pattern indicating duplicity of an apparent single star has been observed. A theoretical curve was produced by summing the individual patterns of the two stars separated by 0.010 arcsec and of relative intensities of 3.4 and 1.0. Their diameters were 0.000 and 0.001 arcsec.
