The report presents a preliminary version of a general simulation model of an interpersonal communication net which displays both geographic and social distance biases. The model represents a development of the original model proposed by Professor Torsten Hagerstrand. Departures from Hagerstrands work include incorporation of a social distances, b more flexible spatial structures, and c more flexible and complex temporal structures. The model has been programmed in FORTRAN IV for the CDC 6400. It draws heavily on a series of special subroutines known as SPURT Simulation Package for University Research and Teaching as well as several graphic report generators. Author
