Abstract:

The report summarizes the authors research. The report is divided into three sections which represent the main thrust of the research program in high-pressure spectroscopy. The first section concerns the experimental techniques developed under the contract. The next two sections deal with environmental perturbations on molecular complexes which are stable in the ground state Electron-Donor-Acceptor Complexes or possess strong binding only in the excited state Excimer. The final section concerns the fate of the triplet energy and triplet kinetics in environments under extreme pressure conditions and at different temperatures. Author
