Abstract:
The lubricant for cold working of metals based on an aqueous solution of an alkali metal salt of a fatty acid is distinguished by the fact that with the goal of increasing the effectiveness of the lubricant, calcium oxide or hydroxide and polyethylene glycol mol. wt. greater than 4000 is introduced into its base. The lubricant in the above is distinguished by the fact that 10-15 percent calcium oxide or hydroxide, on calcium oxide, and 0.5-1.5 percent polyethylene glycol are introduced into a 5-15 percent aqueous solution of an alkali metal salt of a fatty acid.
