Analytical and experimental technics were developed for simulating solar-flare proton exposures. These technics were used to expose a series of animals Macaca mulatta to specified depth-dose distributions. The exposures were made with the nominal 300-Mev proton beam of the NASA Space Radiation Effects Laboratory synchrocyclotron. Details of the simulation and physical dosimetry measurements are presented. Author
