Groups of men were exposed for a twenty-four hour period to either 70 Hertz tones at 112.8 plus or minus 10 dB re .0002 dynescm sq. or 300 Hertz tones at 113.4 plus or minus 3 dB re .0002 dynescm sq. During the exposure, performance on a sensory-motor task was tested periodically, and auditory threshold shifts were measured.
