Abstract:
The scope of the study entails an examination and analysis of support provided by states, particularly the United States, to international peacekeeping forces and, to a lesser extent, peace observation operations. National support is broadly used in this study and includes such aspects as political, financial, manpower, and logistical assistance given by states to these operations. This analysis considers the implications of various aspects of support such as transportation, communications, bases, port and overflight rights, and organizational arrangements on the national, international and local levels.
