The codeposition of oxides with metals from various electroplating baths is investigated from the viewpoint of basic particle charge, particle size and adsorption of ions on to the surface of these oxides. The incorporation of Al2O3 AlonC and TiO2 P85 in nickel from nickel electrolytes is studied over a wide range of experimental conditions current density, pH, temperature and addition of electrolytes and the influence of these variables is discussed. Polarization studies have shown that in agitated electrolytes the presence of suspended oxide AlonC has little or no effect on the mechanism of the deposition of nickel. Author
