The behavior of organized groups of particles in a plasma has been studied to determine the effects of the scattering and diffusion of these particles on the plasma. In one experiment the particle group was an electron beam injected into a neutral gas thereby producing ionization and turbulent effects. Energy and spectral analysis of the beam particles and plasma turbulence are presented. In another experiment the particle group consisted of the plasma electrons gyrating at the upper hybrid frequency. The scattering of radiation from a column of such a magnetoplasma was studied. Amplitude and spectral measurements have been correlated with an improved theoretical model. Author
