Abstract:

An expression for the magnitude of the induced voltage generated during the flow of an ionized, conducting gas in a transverse magnetic field was derived. This derivation is based on the solution of a differential equation. The flow velocity vector, the time, the flow density, the pressure, coefficient of viscosity, a conductivity coefficient, density of external forces given where the magnetic vector and an induced current density is given where the electric conductivity, the electric field vector, and the velocity of an infinitesimal mass of gas is shown.
