Pagination or Media Count:
The Author Certificate introduces a method of arc welding in various protective media and atmospheres. To increase the welding rate and improve the seam formation, pressure is applied to the weld bath behind the arc, which is regulated independently of the welding speed. In a variant, pressure is produced by an inactive gas flow directed toward the liquid metal behind the arc. In a second variant, the pressure is produced by a slider, which is moved behind the arc. In a third variant, the liquid metal is constantly under pressure. In a fourth variant, pulse-like pressure is applied.
