Abstract:

In the course of studies of hemagglutinating properties of a latent virus isolated from the cultures of uninfected kidneys of green monkeys treatment of the virus with tween-80 and ether according to Norrbys method and also separate treatment with tween and ether were used to increase the sensitivity of hemagglutination test. Norrbys method was found to be the most effective and its use resulted in an increase of the hemagglutination titer by 16-32 times. Author
