Abstract:
Results of sky brightness observation in the visible spectral region with a given azimuthal and vertical pitch are presented for a wide range of atmospheric parameters. The brightness course is studied along various inclinations and verticals. The appearance of a point of minimum brightness is noted on the antisolar vertical. The color changes of the sky is also traced. Isophots of clear sky brightness are established. They are compared with theoretical calculations of several authors leading to the conclusion theoretical results which take into account corrections for ozone absorption are very close to the observed brightness however, for numerous atmospheric parameters the discrepancies are large and this is explained by discrepancies between the real and theoretically assumed scattering functions the author proposes that during calculations a less stretched-out scattering function be assigned to large optical masses.
